Pre-Emergent Weed Control + Gentle Slow-Release Fertilizer
We apply a pre-emergent barrier to stop crabgrass and annual weeds before they germinate, paired with a gentle slow-release fertilizer that gradually wakes the lawn up from winter dormancy. This approach encourages steady, even green-up without shocking the turf — setting the foundation for a strong season ahead. Timing is everything on this application.
Slow-Release Fertilizer + Broadleaf Weed Control
A second slow-release fertilizer application builds on the early spring feeding — deepening root development and pushing the lawn into its peak growing season with density and color. Paired with a post-emergent broadleaf treatment that targets dandelions, clover, plantain, and other weeds already present in the turf.
Heat Stress Prep Fertilizer + Grub & Insect Prevention
Before summer heat sets in, we apply a fertilizer formulated to strengthen the turf's stress tolerance — building the root reserves your lawn needs to stay green and resilient through July and August. Combined with a season-long grub and surface insect preventive, this application protects your lawn both above and below the soil surface during its most vulnerable period.
Summer Recovery Fertilizer + Grassy & Broadleaf Weed Control
As temperatures begin to ease, the lawn is ready to recover from summer stress and push new growth heading into fall. A recovery fertilizer re-energizes the turf while post-emergent treatments tackle both grassy weeds — like crabgrass that made it through — and any remaining broadleaf weeds, leaving a clean, healthy base for the fall season.
Core Aeration & Overseeding
An optional but highly recommended add-on. Fall is the ideal time to aerate and overseed in New Jersey — cooler temperatures, natural rainfall, and reduced weed pressure give new seed the best chance to establish. Core aeration relieves compaction, improves drainage, and opens the soil for better nutrient uptake. We overseed with premium turf blends suited to Bergen County's soil and climate conditions.
Winterizer Fertilizer
Our final application of the year. A properly timed winterizer loads the root system with the nutrients it needs to survive winter dormancy and emerge stronger in spring. Lawns that receive a quality winterizer green up faster, fill in thicker, and require less corrective work the following season — making it one of the most valuable applications in the entire program.

Both programs are professionally timed, applied by trained technicians, and designed to build a thick, healthy, weed-free lawn across Bergen County. The difference is in the inputs and the pace of results.
Produces faster greening and more immediate results. All traditional fertilizer applications are kid and pet friendly once dry — we recommend staying off the lawn for 3 hours after application to allow ample drying time.
Results come more gradually as natural inputs work with the soil over time — but the payoff is a healthier lawn year over year and complete peace of mind for families who prefer no synthetic products on their property.
